Curvy Girl Chronicles

Kristina Denise is a freelance writer and plus model based in the Washington DC Metropolitan region. Kristina, a native of Richmond, Va., received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her Master of Journalism degree from  the University of Maryland's Philip Merrill College of Journalism. She hones her writing skills as a communications specialist; managing social media, drafting newsletters, memorandums, and press releases.

 

When she's not writing, Kristina is ripping the runway and slaying the camera as a plus size model. In January 2013 Kristina was featured on Lane Bryant's Inside Curve blog. She's worked with several local boutiques and designers, including Ivie Rose Boutique, Real Divas are Large and Curvy Chix Chariot.

 

Kristina has also had the pleasure of walking the runway for designers Qristyl Frazier and Curvysta. Passionate about her craft Kristina believes practice makes perfect so she takes every opportunity possible to walk the runway. She's been in several prominent runway shows, including DC Fashion Week's Presidential Inauguration Fashion Show, Macy's Shop for a Cause, Style to the Aisle Bridal Showcase and Curves Rock Fashion Weekend.
