Living Life Like It's Golden at the Golden Confidence Pool Party

I recently took on the Big Apple to appear at one of this Summer's most Epic Curvy Events, the Golden Confidence Pool Party, hosted by the incredibly gorgeous model and blogger, Essie Golden.

I arrived at 5:30 p.m.wearing a sheer black lace duster and swimsuit from Torrid, an industry favorite, seen often at the pool party. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by the Ashley Stewart Team and given my V.I.P. Swag bag filled with gift cards from BooHoo , Macy's, and Rebdolls, as well as the Official "I AM Ashley" T-Shirt. Other goodies included a rain poncho, stylish summer essential shades, and jewelry.

Shortly after, I was directed to the Open Bar for the event were complimentary drinks were served filled with glitz and glam, that definitely met the needs of all the curvy cuties. The party was held in Midtown NYC on the rooftop, where views of the city could be captured far and wide. I was nervous but excited to see so many industry professionals, models, and bloggers all together in one place. The guest list included top models Desiree Jenkins, Nakitende Esther, Vanessa Mays, Frankie Tavares, Laura Lee J, Kimberly D, and Rebecca Ballister to name a few. Also stylishly arriving for the festivities were top bloggers Sabrina Styled, Ty Alexander, Darlene of Suits, Heels, and Curves, Shainna Tucker of Thick Girls Closet, and Jessica Torres, just to name a few.

Renowned photographers Jose Pagan and Rick Jones were present capturing the festivities. Plus Model Mag was also there. Plus Industry Leaders and Activists Madeline Jones, Sharon Quinn, Sasha the Glamazon, and many others were also there to help support and speak to us all on the importance of accepting your curves and loving them.

I really had a ball reconnecting with my fellow DMV models as well as making new connections with models from all over the East Coast. The night was filled with small bites, overflowing drinks, dancing, laughter, and of course high fashion. Sponsors Ashley Stewart and Rebdolls both launched their unique swimwear collections that had yet to be released to the public at the event. This was a wonderful party and the perfect way to celebrate the beginning of Summer.
